Hi! I'm Arijit
I take pride in making complex guitar techniques simple and enjoyable to learn while being patient at a pace comfortable for students. I'm confident in supporting you throughout your guitar transformation journey. Read about my philosophy.
Your dedicated instructor
With over 11+ years of teaching experience in the Bay Area, I’ve had the pleasure of coaching 60+ adults on their guitar learning journeys and have performed with various bands at festivals and celebrations.
Ditch the one-size-fits-all and adopt my unique approach - fun and engaging - combining traditional techniques with modern teaching methods.
Your Instructor's Performances

My Mission
Transform
After identifying four backwards elements, I completely redesigned the teaching methodology at LearnBollyGuitar. The results have been extraordinary: our average student progresses to "campfire guitarist" level (able to confidently play and sing multiple songs) in 33 weeks versus the industry average of 14 months.
Cultural Immersion Before Abstraction
Rather than exercises, start by listening deeply to Bollywood classics and contemporary hits, discussing what makes them meaningful, and identifying the guitar's role within these compositions. Learning shouldn't feel like a chore.
Emotional Connection Before Technical Perfection
Prioritize emotional connection between student and relatable Bollywood songs means celebrating "good enough" versions of meaningful songs before pursuing flawless execution of simpler pieces.
Rhythm Before Melody
Rhythm-first approach creates immediate gratification—students can recognizably play portions of actual songs within their first lessons developing the foundation that makes melodic expression possible.
Community Before Isolation
Community cultured approach with group sessions, cultural celebrations, and multi-generational jams creates an environment where students learn as much from each other as from formal instruction.
